Susan Roderick

An active member of the community since she moved here over 30 years ago from Ohio, Susan has a variety of interests that can be observed when reviewing her past civic involvement.  She has given her time to a variety of boards and commissions including: the Historic Resources Commission, 2010 Plan for Asheville/Buncombe County, Downtown Asheville Streetscape Committee, Chair of the Governor’s Highway Beautification Council, MAGIC Community Gardens, Friends of the Library Board, Leaf & Petal Garden Club, the Nature Center Board, the NC Arboretum, and the Chair of the Asheville Council of Garden Clubs.
                                             
Susan continues her commitment to service through her participation in the Asheville Tree Commission, NC DOT Enhancement Grant Committee, French Broad River Garden Club Conservation Chair, Asheville Sister Cities Committee, the WNC Air Quality Coalition’s Clean Air Campaign, Preservation Society, NC Urban Forest Council, Coalition of Scenic Beauty, and Asheville Downtown Association.
