Britt Lippard

Gerry Goertz While writing her undergraduate History thesis on the literary works of Wilma Dykeman, an Asheville native who was an outspoken social and environmental activist, Britt contemplated how communities could appreciate and nurture their human and natural resources, instead of neglect, abuse or waste them. This led to a deeply-rooted connection to the community of western North Carolina and to the importance of forward-looking leadership.

Britt believes that leadership involves thoughtful consideration, taking chances, remaining humble and loving unconditionally. Leadership is a constantly evolving process of trusting, empowering, and opening up to others.

In her spare time, Britt enjoys playing outside, listening to music, practicing yoga, riding her bike, traveling, delicious foods and beverages, reading, and hanging out with family, friends, and animals.

Favorite quote:

We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.

~ T.S. Eliot
