Bill Hogan

In 1987, he accepted the position of Chief of Police with the City of Newark, Delaware.  After more than eleven years of service in Newark, he accepted the position of Chief of Police in Rocky Mount, North Carolina and served in this capacity for five years.

In June 2004, Chief Hogan became the Chief of Police for the City of Asheville.

Chief Hogan has more than thirty years of law enforcement experience and has served as a Chief of Police for over nineteen years.  He is a life member with the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the Delaware Police Chiefs Council.  He is also a member of the North Carolina Chiefs of Police Association, the North Carolina Metro Chiefs, and the North Carolina Police Executives Association. 

Throughout his career he has remained active in volunteer services and charitable efforts to address community health and social service challenges.
