Leadership Asheville exists to enhance community leadership by developing, connecting, and mobilizing citizens throughout the region. This is primarily accomplished by engaging public, private and nonprofit leaders to support their growth and service to our community. These programs wouldn’t be possible without support from local businesses and individuals. Please support Leadership Asheville today, and help us build a better place to work and live!
LA Forum Events
The Leadership Asheville Forum invites you to our next critical issues forum on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at 11:45am at the Country Club of Asheville. The field for the November 3rd city election has been narrowed to half-a-dozen finalists. Now, we’ve invited the the six remaining candidates for Asheville City Council to speak to us, so come out to hear from Brian Haynes, Marc Hunt, Rich Lee, Julie Mayfield, Lindsey Simerly, and Keith Young. This could be your last chance before the election to see, hear and ask questions of the candidates who are trying to win your vote. Cost is $20 for LAF members, $25 for nonmembers. Lunch is included and registration is required– click the link to learn more!
Leadership Asheville 34
Leadership Asheville’s 34th cohort gathered for the first time on Wednesday, September 2nd for their Orientation program. In addition to getting to know one another and learning about what lies ahead of them, this committed group of community leaders also posed challenging questions to all of our project partner representatives as they determined which partner they most hope to support in the coming months. Project teams will be assigned later this month and we are all excited to see what the teams accomplish over the next 8 months!
