Fifth Annual Luncheon Celebration!
Thanks to everyone who attended this year’s Luncheon celebration! It’s always a good time when the LA community has the opportunity to meet with friends and make new connections. This special event was presented by Lenoir-Rhyne University and was held at the Renaissance Asheville Hotel. We would like to thank keynote speaker Heath Shuler for sharing his time. Congratulations to Allison Jordan (LA 20), the recipient of this year’s Leadership Asheville Community Trustee Award! Check back for details on next year’s event!

LA 32 History Day!
To explore WNC’s vibrant history in the most experiential way possible, LA 32 kept a brisk pace last Wednesday as the group toured the state archive office, the Smith McDowell house, the YMI, and downtown Asheville. A series of local and regional historical experts presented the group with both the facts and stories that bring to life our community’s past at each stop throughout the day. The goal for the day, as established by the planning committee of LA 31 grads Kelly McIntyre, Paul Reeves, and Derrick Swing, was to understand our region’s history, in order to better serve our community’s present and future. Thanks to everyone involved for being part of such a powerful program day!
